MCC welcomes new members and takes pride in our community spirit, which extends a hand in the form of our development programme.
Our ride culture is one of respect for our fellow cyclists and other road users. We pride ourselves in always being willing to offer a helping hand to riders in our own group.
We love cycling and encourage others to join us.
Yes, we have a big social side to us, so don’t be afraid that we may be too professional—we all started out as novices! And if you are professional, we also have a few professional riders as members.
It doesn’t matter how good or bad you think you are, we can always learn, teach and help each. Come along and experiencing the riding fun.
A weekly newsletter is emailed to our members which provides feedback on social events, members’ race results, race and social event calendars, some training information, and other articles of interests. Contributions from members are always welcome and will generally be published un-edited unless the article is of a controversial nature or which may require “the other side of the story”.
MCC is the organizing club for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge. Peter Häusler and MCC were looking to start a Fun ride, and now after 12 years it has become the second biggest one day event of its kind in the world, nearing 30 000 participants. The MCC sub-committee works on the technical aspects of the Cycle Challenge for 11 months of the year for the race. For the weekend of the race we appreciate volunteers to help at the Finish.
